Hello....... Things are getting a bit exciting around here, not only is it less than a week to Christmas but this afternoon, I've been assembling my Wintertime wreath ready for the Solstice this Saturday yippee, so today's post is a bit of a pre Ta-Dah post.
This has been a bit of a ongoing project for me, which started way back in September when I decided I wanted to make a Winter version of my Springtime wreath I knew I needed to give myself plenty of time as my health's not been very good since the Summer, so I ordered some yarn and started planning my winter wreath of Icy blue tones.
I also order lots of cute supplies that I thought I might need and I have to say other than the little beads I've used all of them somewhere on the wreath. So exciting.....
Not forgetting these tinsel pompoms I do love them so, I had intended to make some pompoms for the wreath until I saw these. So what else is on the wreath well lots and lots of lovely hookiness
Jolly Holly
Ribbon flowers in icy tones
Some of Lucy's Attic 24 'Little Lacy Stars'
and some teeny tiny Lacy stars,
made on a 2mm hook using some very fine Silver Anchor Metallic.
As it's a Summerhouse wreath, of course there had to be a little felt Bridie.
Some winter blossoms
Mistletoe
Winter Roses too, believe it or not Roses are still blooming here in the Summerhouse garden
plus some Twinkling Stars
Well that's about it, I think. If you want to you can read more about the individual makes over in the archive. I'm using the wreath I made in the Spring as the base again so I've unpinned all the Spring flowers which are now all sleeping in a little box awaiting the return of Spring, you can read about how I made the wreath cover 'here'
So that it just one more Sleep until the grand reveal, fingers crossed for some bright weather so I can take some photo's of the finished wreath.......yippee
Yarning along with Ginny ,now the wreath is completed, I can start my new book 'The Colour' by Rose Tremane
See you next time
Happy Crafting
Clare xx

How clever you are to reuse the base for your wreath, Clare. I look forward to seeing it. I have never tried a large wreath like you are making, but I am enjoying crocheting little wreath ornaments this year. Blessings! xx
