Something new : Felt Faeries

Hello.......... Today as part of my 'Something new' series I thought I'd introduce you to my first ever felt faerie.

I just couldn't resist this book and lovely merino yarn a few months ago on amazon. I've never tried any felting before but I just knew I needed some Magic Wool Fairies in my life.

So while looking for some suitable wooden beads online I was just skippy happy to discover these wooden heads, yes you know the crafting's gone too far when the postie delivered a bag of heads and you're like yippee, that's my bank holiday sorted.

This little lady, is the first easy make in the book, so with beads, wool, glue and a pipe cleaner in no time at all I had my first faerie,

Isn't she sweet I couldn't resist adding a mulberry flower to her hair, I know she's not in the Summerhouse's usual colour palette but as she was my first attempt I opted for a colour I didn't mind messing up, I've got a lot to learn but I'm fairly pleased with how she turned out.

I'm even warming to the colour red a little !!!

Ta-Dah

One wispy wool faerie.

Happy Crafting
